A few of the highlights of this past week were on Wednesday, a group of us went to go receive Jonatan at the airport. It´s been really great hanging out with him, working with him and splurging on quesadillas from time to time. The ride back from the airport was insane: 20 miles in 2 HOURS!!!! That´s Mexico traffic for you, ordinarily it just takes 1HOUR!
Friday, Rod took me and Jonatan to help judge a competition of English songs and a middle school about 20mins away. That was an interesting cultural experience. It was intimidating but really fun.
Saturday was Ale's final football game and they won. She had about 10 people cheering her on. It was great to be with her family. After the game, we went out to celebrate at a pizza place. While we were waiting for our food, a ´hand artist´ (magician) came to our table and blew us away with his tricks. Half-way through his show, he shared with us that he was a Christian and told us that all glory he receives goes to the Father. What a witness to Faby´s family!!!! And he was so excited to be performing at a table where there were believers. He told us he would pray for us and asked us to pray for him as well. I think Ale´s cousin was really touched by this.
Today Jonatan, ROd and I went to another local school and got to see a class practice a song for an event like the one we went to last week. Maybe I´ll get to be a judge again before I leave.
Well, that´s the quick update for now. God bless!
PLease be praying for my family back home, my family here, for Abigail, and for my last week here. Dios te bendiga!
